It picks up line more quickly than the C3 models in this batch, making it useful when keeping pace with moving fish or working lures. The 6500/6600-size spool provides additional capacity for longer runs and heavier line.

Key Features

Carbon Matrix drag applies controlled resistance under load.

One-piece reel foot strengthens the mounting connection.

Synchronized level wind spreads line across the spool.

Six-pin centrifugal braking helps control spool speed during casts.

Bent handle and drag star keep controls within comfortable reach.

Specifications

Model: C4-6600

Manufacturer part number: 1649429

Size: 6600

Retrieve: Right hand

Gear ratio: 6.3:1

Bearings: 4 stainless steel ball bearings + 1 roller bearing

Maximum drag: 15 lb.

Weight: 10.51 oz.

Line recovery: 30 in. per handle turn

Mono capacity (yd/lb): 390/10; 320/12; 225/17

Braid capacity (yd/lb): 415/20; 310/30; 220/50

Freshwater / Saltwater

Recommended for freshwater use. Choose a dedicated saltwater reel for regular exposure to salt spray or surf; stainless bearings alone do not make a reel waterproof.

Best Applications / How to Use

Match the reel to a casting rod rated for the line and lure or bait weight. Begin with conservative spool control and brake settings, then reduce braking gradually as casting conditions allow. Keep thumb control as the presentation reaches the water.

The larger spool is useful for catfish, northern pike and freshwater striped bass where extra line reserve matters. Use the faster pickup to recover slack between lure movements. Maximum drag is a limit, not a setting to use automatically.
