Berkley

Product Overview

The Berkley Stunna 112 in Phenom is a slow-sinking freshwater jerkbait that combines sharp directional changes with a gradual fall during the pause. Its 112 mm baitfish profile and 1/2-ounce weight provide a substantial target without requiring oversized tackle. This standard 112 works a 3–6-foot zone around shallow bait schools, points and cover edges.

Key Features

  • Darting action with wide head turns when worked with rod twitches.
  • Slow-sinking pause keeps the bait moving subtly between jerks.
  • Single tungsten transfer weight assists casting.
  • Three size 6 treble hooks provide multiple hook points along the body.

Freshwater / Saltwater & Target Species

Best suited to freshwater fishing. Suggested targets: largemouth bass and smallmouth bass; walleye are a practical additional target around baitfish.

Best Applications / How to Use

Make a cast beyond the target and use a few turns to bring the lure down, then twitch the rod with a little slack between movements. Begin with a twitch-twitch-pause rhythm. Extend the pause for hesitant fish and shorten it when bass actively chase; watch the line for a bite during the fall.

Use Phenom as an alternative to your local forage-matching color, comparing results at the same depth and cadence before changing techniques. The bait continues sinking during a long pause, so account for bottom depth and submerged cover. Published swimming depth changes with line diameter and retrieve.
