Use this smaller Magnum to cover the upper part of a trolling spread around bait schools and nearshore edges. Designed for saltwater trolling. Freshwater use is a specialized option for suitably large predators and tackle; it is not the primary application described here.

How to Fish It

  • Rig on trolling tackle capable of handling the lure’s pull and the fish you expect. Select leader strength for the conditions; consider a bite-resistant leader for toothy species.
  • Check the lure beside the boat at low speed, then let it back under control. Confirm a steady rod-tip pulse before setting the rod in its holder.
  • Troll through the chosen area with the lure swimming cleanly. The 13-knot figure is a maximum rating, not a required fishing speed; slow down or adjust speed when conditions or fish response call for it.
  • Use the 15-foot rating as a starting point. Line diameter, leader, setback, rod position, current and boat speed affect actual running depth; maintain clearance over bottom and structure.

Fishing Tips

  • Try Bonito when predators are working small tuna or bonito, while matching lure size to the forage you can actually see.
  • Stagger lure setbacks and depths, and make broad turns to reduce crossed lines. Keep deeper diving plugs nearer the boat than shallower offerings when arranging a mixed spread.
  • If the rod-tip pulse changes or disappears, retrieve the lure and check for weeds, a fouled hook or damaged hardware before continuing.
  • After saltwater use, rinse with fresh water, dry thoroughly and inspect hook points, split rings and leader connections.

Where do Products ship from?

As soon as we receive an order, it goes directly to our suppliers here in Florida and also in the US. This allows us to get the products shipped directly to you as quickly as possible. All of our suppliers are located in the United States.

We do our best to choose the most economical options for shipping of all of our products. For smaller items they typically will ship to you via USPS, unless otherwise requested. Other carriers may mean additional fees.

For larger items especially combos, rods, and trolling motors, these will ship to you through UPS or Fedex. Batteries and heavy items will also ship via UPS or FedEx.

Outside the United States we will choose the most economical route possible to get the item to you securly.

Orders are processed immediately in order to get the shipping initiated as quickly as possible. When we become aware of any delays or backorders we will reach out to the email you have provided on your order to make you aware of any issues with delivery.

If I need to return an item how does that work?

  • Items must be unopened and in the original packaging
  • Customer provides return shipping
  • 15% restocking fee for combos, rods, and other large items.
